and we won't forget you canyon rim

You might not believe it, but I have had this Canyon Rim Panther t-shirt since I was a 5th grader.
I finally put in the DI pile tonight.

It was time.

Let's see, now that I am in the 16th grade that would make this item close to 10 years old.

Nasty you might say? I say QUAL-I-TAY.

By the way, here's a picture of 5th grader me on top of Mt. Olympus. Now I know hiking isn't the most glamorous activity... But seriously. Please note: green and pink floral carpet bonnet, pigtails, a promotional item for my orthodontist "brace rock" t-shirt, fanny pack in front...?

Nasty you might say? I say QUAL-I-TAY.

family, food and comedy

Last night we went with the Weiler gang to dinner and Brian Regan at Abravenal Hall.

We had tasty meals here. Hard to say no to the turkey dinner. Wes enjoyed a gluten free salad while we all snarfed delicious rolls.

So weird when my dad says we are a "party of eight" now to the seating hostess. Caroline said, "Soon to be party of 9."

We all looked at her like "What?!" and then looked at Annie.

Caroline responded with, "It was just a joke!"

Then we went to see our family favorite (and Mormon SLC favorite I think too) Brian Regan. We think he is super funny, but there were some people there that were borderline worshiping.

My dad mentioned before that he hoped Wes would appreciate the humor and not think we were a bunch of weirdies.

I think Wes laughed harder than any of us. There was this one joke about some gorillas, and Wes was doubled over rocking back and forth. Yeah, he's a keeper.

I have been looking forward to Brian Regan for a really long time. I guess the next thing to look forward to is, oh, the wedding!

Mar 6, 2010

We're not MIA. We're planning a wedding.

Let me update you.

Wedding plans are coming right along. I've accumulated quite the binder of wedding doom. Things are relatively on schedule, thanks to so many helpers.

  • Wes. This kid is super good about asking needs to be worked on. In fact, just last week he asked, "When can I help pick out invitations?"

  • Mom. My mom has not only taken the reins, but is galloping away with the reception. You guys should look forward to a freaking awesome party.

  • Courtney. So excited for the bridal shower! {So is Wes...}

  • Susan. Gave us a great recommendation for invitations.

  • Macey Jones. "Smile so pretty! I don't want to be looking at an ugly engagement picture on our fridge the next two months." Thanks for the support.

We're plodding through school. In fact, it's 6:58pm and we're in the math building. I'm blogging. Wes is doing some crazy physics. Sounds about right. We went to the Provo library tonight to try and switch it up. And no joke, as soon as we sat down the woman library voice came on and told us we had 5 minutes until closing.

What else can I tell you? Oh HELLO. We're now on the gluten free lifestyle. Wes has "the sprew" which ultimately means our children are doomed because it runs in my side of the family. Shout out to Great Aunt Joyce and Nancy! Which also means I will be baking rice bread the rest of my life.

Looking forward to...

Brian Regan in Abravanel Hall this Thursday.
